About

I’m a PhD candidate in Astronomy at the University of Bologna, with a lifelong fascination for the cosmos that began at age 6. Before this, I earned my MSc in Astrophysics and Cosmology from the University of Padova in Italy, and my BSc in Physics from Kharazmi University of Tehran, back in my hometown. My research explores a wide range of topics in astrophysics and cosmology, and I’m also an avid astrophotographer, capturing galaxies and nebulae through my lens. Outside of research, I enjoy juggling diverse projects, writing poetry, gravel biking, and discovering new cuisines from around the world.

Research

My research interests span a broad range of topics in astrophysics, including dark energy, galaxy evolution, and star formation in the early universe. I also study the influence of environment on galaxy evolution at intermediate redshifts, as well as the chemical evolution of galaxies in the local Universe.
